Disney Explorers Lodge, the new third hotel of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, is slated to open in 2017. Dedicated to the spirit of exloration, Disney Explorers Lodge will invite guests to leave the everyday world behind and enter into a new world full of discovery, nature and exotic cultures. The hotel will feature four distinct gardens based on cultures from around the globe, along with new themed restaurants, a shop and a large outdoor swimming pool, it will appeal to everyone's spirit of adventurre and to the desires of international guests for exotic experiences. Guests around the world can stay at the hotel and become explorers themselves, embracing the lodge motto of "ad explorare et somniare" (to explore and dream).
When to Announce
On December, 2014, Hong Kong Disneyland announced a plan to build a new 750-room Disney-branded hotel dedicated to the spirit of exploration that celebrates exotic locations around the world. On January 5, 2014, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort broke ground on its third hotel named Disney Explorers Lodge, marking another exciting milestone in the continued development of the resort as a world-class travel and entertainment destination. The 750-room hotel will open in early 2017. 

Feature & Concept
Featured with exploration theme, a story explainning the hotel's exploration takes place in the grand era of exploration in the 1920s and tells of four explorers who built a lodge based on their adventures around the world and add their own artifacts and specimens gathered during their lifetime of travels. The hotel is inspired by the explorer's travels to an African savannah, a South American rainforest, a Polyesian island paradise and an area inspired by the natural beauty of Asia.

What You Expect
1. Disney Explorers Lodge joins the list of other expansion projects and upcoming offerings at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort such as the themed area based on "Iron Man" that is themed area previously announced and scheduled to open in December 2016.
2. Disney Explorers Lodge will cap a remarkable addition of new experiences, including a brand new nighttime spectacular called "Disney Paint the Night", debuting this year. 
3. Tourists can join Tony Stark in a battle against alien invaders across the city of Hong Kong and will mark the first major attraction based on a Marvel character.

Special Garden
Inside the South American Garden at Disney Explorers Lodge, art and nature coincide, bringing the vibrancy of South American plant life to the garden's visitors. Three banyan trees holding hanging lanterns within their limbs reside in the middle of the garden, while purple jacaranda trees surround the space. 
When tourists enter into the Polynesian Garden, they might believe that they can hear ocean waves gently rolling toward them. In fact, the garden's lawn is designed to look like the rolling waves of the South Pacific.
Celebrating natural beauty of Asia and distinct elegance of its eclectic cultures. Located adjacent to a themed Chinese restaurant, tourists can stroll along the windling path and relax amid the lush landscape and seasonal flowers at Asian Garden.
Last but not final kick-off, the African Garden, the rustic yellow and orange tones of a savannah wash over visitors, making them feel like they might be about to camp out on safari or on a grassy plain in the African continent's wild landscape. Disneyland One Day Pass

It is clear that Disney Explorers Lodge is themed with exploration.
